Bathing with an Elephant in Laos

Hello Everyone! After being absent for almost 3 months, I'm back! Apologies for not updating, I was just too busy travelling around Asia and Europe. And Last month, I was in the Philippines for 3 weeks to celebrate my birthday which I turned into a fundraising event to be able adopt an elephant and help the orphans.

The reason why I wanted to adopt an elephant is because of  my recent trip to Luang Prabang, Laos. Elephants are very smart animals and as they say, an elephant never forgets. I feel very connected to them and I have a lot of wonderful memories with elephants.

In Luang Prabang, I went to the Elephant Village Sanctuary to see Lao Elephants and to be able to cozy/ hang out with them.

On our way to the sanctuary, we took a (small) boat trip to cross Nam Khan river. The serene and unspoiled nature around was amazing! It's so beautiful it made our trip more exciting and adventurous! When we reached the sanctuary, it was like a farm with the elephants around. There's also waterfalls in the village. Anyway, my original plan was to bathe with the elephant in the waterfalls but because of dry season, I have to bathe with the elephant in the river. (Which was actually more fun!)

It was my first time bathing with an elephant and it was truly a marvelous experience!
