Fifty kilometers from the bustling metropolitan Sydney is a serene mountainous region called the Blue Mountains. Listed as a World Heritage Area by UNESCO in 2000, The Greater Blue Mountains Area is one of the listed attraction in the New South Wales.

The area is inhabited by over 400 different types of animals from rare mammal species like Spotted-tailed Quoll, Koala, Yellow-bellied Glider, Long-nosed Potorro, etc. Rare reptiles and amphibians can also be found in the area like the endangered Blue Mountain Water Skink and the Green and Golden bell Frog. Hunter Valley

Approximately 120 kilometers north of Sydney, known for it's wine making and coal industry, is called the Hunter Region (Hunter Valley). It contains the Hunter River and its tributaries with highland areas to the north and south. The Hunter Valley is one of the largest river valleys on the New South Wales coast.

When in NSW, a visit to the Hunter Valley is truly necessary to try the world- famous Australian wines, Australian chocolates and the smelly cheeses. When I visited Hunter Valley, I was amazed by vast fields of vineyards (as far as the eyes can see) and really spectacular views.
You can also hire a helicopter to see the aerial view of the place. Hunter Valley Helicopters
Just a perfect getaway for couples and families too.
Restaurants array at some places wherein you can dine and try authentic Australian delicacies. But the must visit are the wineries to see how these award-winning Australian wines are being produced and of course, also try the different Australian wines (White, Red, Sparkling and Rosé).

Looking for a venue for weddings and proposals???
Hunter Valley is just the perfect place for any occasion!
Check the official Hunter Valley website Wine Country to know more about Hunter Valley Tourism.

Armadale Reptile and Wildlife Centre

When my husband and I went driving around New South Wales, we found Armadale Reptile and Wildlife Centre by accident. Most of the animals in this park are rescued animals. Of all the animal parks we've been in NSW, this is my favorite!!!

I just love how they made the park, the surrounding area feels like the animals are back in the wild. Although they don't have fancy enclosures like most zoos but the animals have big spaces and they can run around the area.

Located at 304- 308 South Western Highway Wungong WA 611.
The centre houses hundreds of animals with more than 50 different species. Animals like kangaroo, wallaroo, wallaby, wombat, koala, venomous and non- venomous Snakes, fruit bats, possums, etc.
And since they don't have that many visitors, this is also one of the best chances to pet a koala. Your $15 entrance fee is surely worth it.

So when you're in Armadale NSW, don't forget to visit Armadale Reptile and Wildlife Centre.
